These characters include the many droids that C-3PO meets on the mysterious planet including O-MR1, a robot that was made by the villainous First Order. Other characters include the following: 2MED2, CO-34, GNK-189, MSE-Y, and Taul versions of C-3PO, O-MR1, PZ-99 and VL-44.
Besides the standalone story, the level pack will also unlock several characters for play in the game's Free Play mode. Called 'The Phantom Limb Level Pack,' the new add-on explores what happened to C-3PO after his ship crashed on the planet of Taul, and how the droid ended up with the red arm he sports in the main game. The new level is available for free download beginning today exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.The second timed exclusive DLC for ' LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is available now for PS4 and PS3 owners (download it here). To complete the level, called “The Phantom Limb,” players must navigate the droids past the deadly fauna of Taul and contact the Resistance before the whole party is wiped out. The drold, O-MR1, has vital information to the whereabouts of the captured Admiral Ackbar (whose story is told in a separate level of the game). The trailer, above, reveals the basics of the story.Īs revealed in the comic and shown in the trailer, C-3PO is part of a small crew of Resistance fighters trying to deliver a captured First Order protocol droid to General Leia.
Now, a version of that story plays out in Lego form as a new downloadable expansion pack for the Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game. We had to wait several months to learn why C-3PO was sporting a red arm in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with the answer ultimate revealed in a poignant one-off Marvel comic book in April.
